This project unveils the truth behind New York's most exclusive social clubs, exposing the arduous process and absurd criteria for entry based on social status, wealth, and personal value. Through satire, it reveals the stark contrast between the advertised luxury and the challenging reality.

New Tools

2022
Four page newspaper showcasing the discoveries made using experimental (analog) tools in the development of typeface design and letterform creation.

Tools used were ink with a tea bag, stem of a flower, and a bundle of cotton swabs.


Fortune

2022
Good fortune cards made for 2022 year of tiger. A new take on Korean talisman called Bujeok. The main fruits used were considered lucky in Feng Shui (Chinese geomancy) of 2022.

The cards are printed in various different sizes for different uses, such as greeting cards, charms to include in New Year red envelopes, and mini amulets to carry around.

Exhibition plan for surveillance.

This event is to show how easily accessible people’s data is through the internet. With simply a photo of their face, anyone can pull up information on their lives, interests, and other aspects of themselves. In showing them this, and how their information is stored with thousands of others, this exhibit hopes to caution people on how much they share about themselves online and help visualize how many people can view their information.

Kazino

2021
‘Kazino’ is a typeface inspired by ‘New Caledonia’. This is a recreation of the amazing san serif created by great
American type designer, calligrapher, and book designer William A. Dwiggins in 1938-1939. ‘New Caledonia’ is often used for book design. In honor of Dwiggins, ‘Kazino’ is a luxury display typeface bringing the uniqueness of ‘Caledonia’ to the headlines.

‘Kazino’ is rooted from the pronunciation of the word “casino”. The name is the indication of the bold, luxurious, and addicting game the typeface plays on the page.

‘Kazino’ font in use to rebrand Hyundai’s 2020 concept design of model Prophecy.

LOVE YOU MORE

‘LOVE YOU MORE’ is a typographic exploration of Helvetica typeface. A gif layout of created in thoughts of the human expression of love. A fun and playful way to show the positive fight between lovers in order to prove who loves the other more.
